Poverty, deprivation and Monarchy

Medical Courses

I thought about this post for quite sometime and wasn’t sure whether to publish it or not as people can be very sensitive about the monarchy. Then I felt it is not about me, I should be able to express what I feel is right and in humanity’s interest in general. Also what gave me the strength to express myself without focusing upon the consequences and expose myself to possible negative reactions was to always speak the truth and have the strength to bear the consequences. So there you go…….

While I have great respect for the queen and monarchy, I can’t help to think how much money and resources are being spent on maintaining and promoting such high and extravagant standards of monarchy, while we have several schools in our country with not enough resources struggling to feed the children. Their parents do not have money to pay for the school dinners and hungry children are turned away by dinner ladies as there is no money. What kind of world are we living in. How is this okay?

Food is the basic necessity to maintain life and we have to deny it to our children. The future of our Nation!

On the other hand we are all so caught up in the latest sequence of events after the sad passing of queen and succession of titles and coronation spending hundreds of millions.
